I had a great time with my family visiting museums and sites around Washington DC recently. We spent hours looking at history and much of our American heritage.
One of my favorite places to hang out was around the space and flight museum exhibits. I liked seeing the Bell X1.
I think it is the most innovative machine of my lifetime. As an unmanned flight machine, it tells us that we would be ok if we busted through the sound barrier. That kind of testing gives us confidence to approach other barriers and trust our science, much like the analysis work I do with clients. But this is a physical, material creation. I loved it!
The great thing is that drones are giving us a way to explore our environment without the limitations of the human body. This is furthering our understanding of the universe, physics and possibilities.
